XP Hardware Wizard the drive is already there and says its working fine.

Note : I had the 2nd Drive set as Cable Select and when I rebooted after
connnecting had the same problem the HD woulndnt show up in My Computer.
Currently 2nd HD is set up as Slave still un seen in My Computer.

@ Clint - I cant dont see how to format from Computer
Management all I see is the ablity to add partions. Does this mean my drive
is all ready formated?

Can you define "not seen"? It's seen by the Hardware Manager, but not
Windows Explorer? If that's the case, my bet would be that you didn't
format the drive. Goto Admin Tools in the Control Panel, and chose Computer
Management. Select Disk Management, and see what it looks like in there.
You can format it from there too.

@ Dick - thx I have one last question. I have a 16gb hd which I am doing
this for and currentlly only 149.05gb's are showing how can I reclam the
lost space should I create one large partition and then format the whole
thing and once I have dont that reformat the partition once again and will
this solve the problem. Or is there a better method that I am unaware of.

: No, you can't format until you add partitions. So just add one
: partition, or more if you wish and then select it and you should be able
: to format it.

Do you mean you have a 160GB HD, and only ~150GB are showing? If so, that's
normal. My 200 shows 186 available. It's the difference between marketing
GB's and real GB's. Marketing GB are 1000 * 1000 * 1000. Real GB are 1024
* 1024 * 1024. Difference of about 7%.

You can't as there's nothing wrong. THe problem is with the definition
of a GB. The marketing brigade call it 1000MB cos it makes the drive
sem larger whereas the OS calles it 1024MB (Counting in Binary).
