I have XP, I was using a slave drive for storage and
everything was working properly with it, a 45gb Western
Digital. I remove the slave drive and insert an old 2gb
Harddrive to retrieve old information and files from an
ancient computer, the transfer went great, until I
removed the 2gb harddrive and inserted the other 45 gb
slave drive back in. The computer now reads the 45 gb as
the 2gb harddrive and says that all the files are
encrypted or something to that effect. I've tried
removing the drivers for the drive, unplugging it and
rebooting, then plugging it back in, but it still reads
as the wrong drive, and I have zero access to my files,
any suggestions on how to correct this problem?

Dated.......reply
It is considered good policy to ininstall any hardware that is
to be removed from within device manager before removing,
especially when it is going to be replaced.
