My E: drive has issues. Scan Disk runs when i boot the computer. I by
pass with "any Key" and then windows HANGS on the "starting windows.

I can start windows when I enter the setup "F2"and I DISABLE THE
SECOND drive. However I can not see the second drive to re format it
and look for problems with this drive.

How do I resolve this issue? I am not sure what went wrong. The only
change to this computer was an AUTO UPDATE from MS UPDATE.

Help.

You can try creating the bootable test utility from that hd manu's site
I assume scan disk never completes?
HD's can fail at any time

Please describe what do you do when shut down the computer.

Im having close to the same problem. although i switched my master drive
with a bran new stable drive. n now it's making my slave drive think
there is a problem so it dose the auto check on start up. n finds no
problems the hard drive is problem free. so i switched my master drive
back to the old one and yet it still wants to do the auto drive check
for the slave. and yet again finds no problems. so i am wondering how do
you shut the auto chkdsk check off when the computer starts up.
