Problem copying a folder:

We have a folder of contacts, called People, under the
Public folders on our
MS Exchange server. I like to keep a copy as backup,
under my Personal
folder. When I copy it to my personal folder, it stops
after 16,777 records
and says folder cannot be copied onto itself. But I am
not copying it to
itself. It still creates a folder called People in my
Personal folders, but
that does not have all the records (has 16,777 I presume -
I don't know a
way of seeing the record# of any entry). How do I copy
the whole folder?

Also, how do I copy a folder to a CD or a "key" RAMdrive
connected to my USB
port?

You must not have large table support enabled on your Personal Folders
File -- the limit without large table support is on the order of 16,000
items per folder; large table support increases it to about 65,000 items per
folder. You can upgrade to large table support -- go to Tools | Services,
click the Personal Folders service, then Properties, and on the General tab,
check the "Allow upgrade to large tables" box.

You can't copy a single folder directly to an outside source, but you can
create a new .PST file and copy the folder to that, then put that new .PST
file on the CD or key drive.
