2k Upgrade license prob

Original install was 98se. We then upgraded to 2k pro.
Still receive 90 day license will expire. Removal of
hardware key fixes that. One workstation forgot to
remove the hardware key before the 90 day now it cannot
reconnect. Does upgrade come with a permanent license.
Please help. Thanks.
 
Do you have the latest service pack(s) installed on the
terminal server as well as the client?

By default, Windows 2000 Pro doesn't require a TSCAL if
you are using Windows 2000 as a terminal server.

Lucky me, I get to redo the terminal server so it will
have the latest service packs. Thanks for the input.
