I have a used but new computer to ME. I installed windows xp. and the guy who I bought it from said it has two hard drives. C and D. D doesnt have much space on it. I dont it know what its for. C has tons. Well, the day I got it I put the new windows on it and everything I download goes onto D even if I specify C. It just puts everything on both. So its telling me my hard drive is full and that I cant put anything else on it. But I checked my C drive and it has tons of space. Is there any way for me to just "turn off" the D drive. I dont know why I would need it anyway. Also, when I was just looking up my system information it says windows in on D. Can I switch it over somehow? thanks. I need lots of help. :)

Disable the 2nd hard drive in BIOS. I believe you press the Del key when the system is booting

When XP was installed, it probably saw what it thougfht to be a previous
installation on C.. it would then load to D.. turning D off in BIOS is
probably not the best thing to do at this stage.. the OP should contact
somebody close by who has computer knowledge to determine what has
happened..
