Are you serious? A local printer driver can affect the display of a
PowerPoint file? Is this a bug that is being fixed? As a professional
presentation specialist I am horrified at the thought of billing a client for
20 hours of work only for them to came back and say my work looks like "a
mess". If this was the case prior to PPt 2007, then maybe it's not an issue
since that hasn't come up in all the years I've been using PPt 2003.

Yes, I'm serious.

And yes, Microsoft is aware of the issue. I don't know if it's being fixed
or not. I hope so.

It was occasionally an issue in previous versions of PPT -- they've all
relied on the printer driver to some extent. PPT 2007 seems to have more
issues with this than other versions, though.

If your client says the work looks a mess, then I suggest that you suggest
that they install local printer drivers. As a matter of fact, send them to
this particular FAQ so they can test if this is indeed an appropriate fix

you.
