Ran several pres today with refresh. Found the sw relatively unresponsive
eg exiting show mode had long delays. Many of my avis flickered and some
would not run. Presenter mode ran aberrantly, often (but not always) showing
me the next slide instead of the current in the large window. Saving files
seemed slow. Will it run faster if i save as 2007 instead of compatibility
mode? Is there a source for codecs missing in this version?

You could try it (saving not in compatibility mode), but it sounds to me as
if you're experiencing general display issues. I'd try updating the video
card and maybe knocking hardware acceleration back a couple of notches.

CatSorry,

Using IBM T60 with 2G RAM and ATI Catrakyst video card

Driver Packaging Version 8.241.1-060324a-031947C-Lenovo
Provider ATI Technologies Inc.
2D Driver Version 6.14.10.6606
2D Driver File
Path System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video\{5485ACCA-0DEE-44A3-94F2-A9C0D7277913}\0000
Direct3D Version 6.14.10.0392
OpenGL Version 6.14.10.5757
CATALYST® Control Center Version 1.2.2275.5025

Runs ppt 2003 with fewer problems. I will try lesser degrees of hw
acceleration.
Is there anyway to report the aberrant behavior of presenter mode?

I don't know if that's the latest video driver or not, but okay. Definitely
do try the HW acceleration thing, though.

You can report issues via the Send a Smile tool. Oh, except it seems to have
been removed from the Microsoft site. Grrr. So no, there's really no way to
report the issue, especially since it's not easy to reproduce reliably.
