Hi,
I have purchased a few new users cals for our 2003 server which I want to
assign to specific users to ensure that they can *ALWAYS* get on. we used to
use device cals, but after someone logged on to the server from a 'net cafe
and the server assigned a device CAL to that machine, we have been a license
short.
MY question is, when we install the User cals, how do we determine which cal
is assigned to which user ? Is it that the first user that logs on (from a
machine that doesnt have a device cal) gets a User cal assigned to their
username, or can we actually say that *this* cal goes to *that* user ??
I have asked MS and got pushed around three depts, but no one could tell me
a clear answer.
