Guys, please take it easy on me. I just spent 100 bucks on the 2003 upgrade,
i already had the original 2003. I put the disk in, uploaded the software,
according to a pop up window, the installation was complete. But i have yet
to see any freakin difference in my frontpage. I rebooted my laptop, no
difference. Im about to call for help but i figured maybe one of you guys
could be so gracious as to help me first. Thank you in advance

Please explain "I already had the original 2003"?

The FP2003 Upgrade requires that you had/have FP98, FP2000 or FP2002 as their is no new version to
upgrade FP2003 to.

Sounds like you are saying you already had FP 2003, and now you installed
the FP 2003 upgrade.

If that's the case, there is no difference. You don't upgrade a version of
software to the same version.

An upgrade CD allows you to "upgrade" from an "older" version of FrontPage to FrontPage
2003.

An "update" would be used to "update" an existing installation of FrontPage 2003.
Updates are not sold on CD's they are "downloaded" from Microsoft.

I don't think 2003 Upgrade means an upgrade if you already *have* 2003, it
means an upgrade if you have 2000, 2002, etc. Big $100 oops!

OOPS is right.. or more like..OUCH. I just had so many frustrations with
frontpage, when i saw the box, and read it, i liked what i read, and jumped
on it. I guess theres no chance of returning it huh.lol.
You guys have been very insightful, and now i know that updates arent sold

Thanks JoAnn ! im going to try that out! thank u

Return policies differ from retailer to retailer. If your retailer refuses
to take it back because it's open, got to

return it to Microsoft directly.

I've had great and terrible experiences with returning software. I think
it's great that MS is willing to take software back. :-)

Well, i went to office depot where i originally bought it, and after pleading
my case, and telling them that the cover is a little misleading, they agreed
and just took it back.Gave me my money back, so its nice to see good customer
service still does exist in some places. But the box was misleading- i
promise :p

That's why I like to buy my software at Micro Center, they don't give you
grief about returning 'open boxes'.

Thanks for giving ish the link.

Online instructor led web design training - Next Session June 26th

By the way Cheryl, i noticed your an online instructor and the date for the
next session. Can you give me a link perhaps so i can find out more about
attending this class? thank you

Hey Cheryl, i found a class that really caught my attention, i submitted a
form in the contact page twice, after pressing the submit button, the page
froze and shut down, the second time, i was led to a blank page. So im not
sure you recieved my messages. what should i do? thanks

I'll see what is broke on the contact form. It was working earlier because I
received a message sent by it from someone else. In the meantime, you can
either register for the class using the catalog link or follow the
instruction to enroll in "The Language of Web Design" and you can send me a
message from the inbox link in the classroom since I'm one of the
instructors for that class.

Which class was it?

ask the instructor a few questions before i enroll (Tony Turner) thanks again

The swishmax class is full for this session. If you send an email to
registar at starttoweb dot com you can request notification when the
registration is open for the next session it is offered in.
