Outlook 2003 build 11.5608.5703 on XP Home.

I have a rule to display a new alert window on receipt
and move the message to a particular folder. I view the
message using the button in the alert window. When I
close the message I find a duplicate, unread message in
the designated folder.

Reviewed the rule details and find nothing that tells it
to create a copy.

Any thoughts would be appreciated...

TYIA,

Mike

<s> I'm waiting to find out. This didn't used to happen,
and I realized that this may have started when I added
color for this particular sender... so I've turned off
the color, first, and we'll see if that does it. If not,
then the alert rule.

Thanks.

Mike

turn off the alert option - do you still get a duplicate?
