Made server a license server, installed 2003 TS CALs, enabled remote
desktop, gave permissions to domain/adminstrator to logon to RDP,
server is activated, licenses available. Looks like I got everything
I need, but still can't log in. Keep getting this message.

License server is on same server I am trying to RDP into.

Suggestions greatly appreciated.

thanks

Hal

Long shot, but are you running Citrix on this server as well?
If so, clear "Only launch Published Applications" under the Advanced
Connection settings of the RDP-TCP listener.

If not, is there anything in the EventLog on the server?

Nope, no Citrix. The system log says it can't find the license
server. The license server is itself. When I go into termserv
licensing, localhost doesn't show up in the list only the old 2000
license server. I can do a connect and add it in, then look at
properties and see proper number of licenses, but it seems to lose the
connection. All licenses are activated and I restarted license server
to be sure every was refreshed. It seems to lose it's ability to
advertise itself as a license server. What am I missing?

thanks

I got this one working. I hadn't put SP1 on the box yet. Did the SP
and everything started working fine.
