No, I think. Some presentations created on 2003 cannot be shown with 2000. To
delight, by converting your presentation to Flash or EXE,the presentation can
be played back well on different computers no matter the PowerPoint program
installed or not.

If you convert it to Flash, only you need to do is to send the converted
Flash and Flash Flash player on other computers. And then show the
presentation on the Flash player. This will be a good way to control the
process of playback.

If you convert it to EXE, only you need to do is to send the EXE file to
other computers, and then double click the EXE file to make it run.

There are many presentation such as Wondershare PPT2Flash Standard, you can
choose it to convert your presentation to Flash or EXE with one click. It's
an add-in of PowerPoint, so you don't need to learn it.

Hope it helps.

Hi Michael

There is some good info here (2002 and 2003 are nearly identical):
PowerPoint 2002 (XP) vs 2000 vs 97
http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00134.htm

One way help ensure your file will work as expected is to go to tools ->
options -> edit -> tick the 3 boxes under 'disable new effects'.

Hope that helps,

Lucy

As Lucy says ticking "disable new functions" will allow the presentation to
play properly in 2000. If you need to keep the new features then you can
either:

1. Ask the recipient to use the free 2003 viewer
2. Make an exe file (using only free stuff, unlike sameshow!)
3. Use the program from Udo below which although designed for memory sticks
will work fine on a CD
