2003 Package for CD - PPT Viewer

Have just updated to 2003 and created an autoplay CD.
When it auto runs or when I start the viewer manually the
viewer fails - " the application failed to initialise
properly (hex address etc)...". If I start the viewer
from within the PresentationCD folder it works okay. I am
doing something wrong or is there something I have
missed? PPT2003 running on Win 2000 / SP4 m/c.

Thanks

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello JT,

In the "Presentation CD" folder that you created using Package for CD, try
running the "play.bat" file.

If this works, it verifies that all of the files output by the Package for
CD feature are intact and correct. In that case, it sounds like something
went wrong with the actual transfer of the Package for CD files from your
HD to your CD. Since you still have your "Presentation CD" folder you
could try one of the following:

* Use a binary comparison tool (I'll leave it to others to recommend one
since it's outside of my PowerPoint expertise) to verify that the contents
of the CD are identical to the contents of the Presentation CD folder.
* Try burning a new CD using the contents of that folder (from outside of
PowerPoint).
