Using Microsaft Knowledge Base Article - 820916, I
finally found Equation Editor in Office Tools. I tried
all 3 options to use this program. All seemed to work,
but I couldn't find the icon to add to my Word Tool Bar,
so i could use it with new homework or class notes.

I also tried to access the capability in the above
article and set up a folder on my desktop as described in
that article. All I get is a new Word document when I
click that shortcut.

Also, I now have a red light and "System Error" displayed
in the window of my Xerox Work Center 470CX printer that
I can't get rid of. I have 1) unhooked the printer cable
from the PC, 2) removed the printer icon in Control
Panel, 3) re-installed software from the Xerox CD and
installed the newest printer driver from the Xerox
website, 4) reconnected the printer cable to the PC. I
powered down the PC before each above step and powerd up
following each step. The PC shows the printer to be
attached and ready to use. However, the printer shows
the read light and "System Error" display and won't print
from anywhere. When I try to print, the printer clicks
once and stops. I even powered down the printer and
repowered it and the light and display reappears.

I really need to add Equation Editor for my engineering
class notes, but I also need to print things as well.

My new computer worked well until yesterday when I tried
to install Equation Editor.

Help please.

Please go to the following website, scroll the list on the left to the
appropriate group (Specific office apps are listed by application name
instead of Office), select the group and post your question there:

As to the printer, everything we would have suggested, latest drivers, etc.,
you already tried. Your best bet for this is Xerox tech support for your
printer and/or check their website for troubleshooting help.
