Hi

If a calendar item is created in Outlook Web Access or on a phone and
syncd via Exchange Active Sync then it doesn't show in Outlook 2003 if
it is running in cached mode.

We have found that if you run it in normal mode then the item's are
visible but it's causing issues for remote and laptop users who have a
definate requirement to run in cached mode.

Is there anyone out there with a proper fix for this? I thought that it
would just be a patch but we have installed the latest SP and patches
but it still happens.

Any help is appreciated

Hmm... It does for me, so it's not a bug in Outlook.

Since it's not a problem for all Outlook/Exchange/ActiveSync users, it's
hard to imagine a patch. There seems to be something specific to your
installation that is causing it. Have you tried a new mail profile?

Hi - Thanks for the quick reply. I have just set up a different profile
but still the same. Are you definately running in cached mode and it's
working?

The version I am running is Microsoft Office Outlook 2003
(11.6359.6360) SP1 part of Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003.
- Can you check your version number please against mine?

It seems to be a problem across our organisation but there are plenty
of other cases that I've seen in groups where the solution has been to
move out of cached mode. (I consider this more of a work around really
and isn't suitable for us)

Another point of interest - if I create a calendar item from OWA I can
actually search it in outlook and find it (and edit it!) but it still
doesn't actually show in outlook. In the search window it shows as
having no start date and maybe this is what is confusing Outlook.

Cheers

Microsoft® Office Outlook® 2003 (11.6359.6408) SP1 currently, but it works
just fine for Outlook 2000 as well.

I can't reproduce the problem, I'm afraid.

What is your version number and SP of your Exchange server?

Exchange 2003 SP1. I don't know if any hotfixes have been applied. We
don't run our own Exchange server. That function was outsourced to
Hewlett-Packard a year ago.
