I'm preparing to upgrade my ad from 2000 to 2003 and have a question before
attempting adprep.
I'm following kb314649 on possible mangled AD attributes that may need
either the inetorgpersonfix.ldf or inetorgpersonprevent.ldf script to fix,
but my scenario is different from the ones defined in the article,
therefore, I
'm not sure which script (if either) I need to run before running adprep.
I currently have a Windows 2000 domain and active directory.
I first installed Exchange 2000 which would have upgraded the schema using
Exch2003 forestprep and domainprep
I then added a Windows 2003 server (not a dc) to the domain and installed
Exchange 2003 on it, again upgrading the schema using Exch2003 forestprep
and domainprep.
Does the fact that I've run the Exchange 2003 version of forestprep and
domainprep correctly upgrade the atributes and schema so I can go ahead with
adprep, without worrying about the possible mangled attributes?
I hope this makes sense.
Thanks for any help in advance.
