2003 -> 2000 backward compatible

I've spent 2 days designing a presentation in PP2003 and just learned that
my host only has PP2000. Assuming that we can't get our hands on a laptop in
time, how compatible will my work be with their earlier version?

Will work just fine, minus any of the advanced transitions that came with 2003.
You can turn these off before you create your presentation, and then everything
should work OK. Don't use any of the password protections either

There are significant differences, especially animations and transitions. You
could use the PowerPoint 2003 Viewer. In PowerPoint 2003 just use File >
Package for CD and burn the package to a CD and test it on your desktop. If it
works to your satisfaction, you're good to go. Just take the CD with you. You
might want to dump the CD contents to the laptop when you get there. Chances
are good that it will run better from hard disk than from a CD drive.
