2002- at my wits end....

I've always had problems with Outlook..and have spent a considerable amount
of money for tech support over the years....after I read some info in the MS
Office online files..I beat myself to a pulp as I've spoken to so many techs
(telephone0 who are not properly trained. I could go on and on.....One told
me the .pst backup application was not the way to back up- but to export
emails to a file on the desktop...another had no clue what an ost file is.
I've always have had settings mysteriously change..as is the case now. I
find the fonts "only" on the outlook today calendar...so small that I have a
difficult time reading/using the program...I have managed to change all fonts
in all other views...my calendar is clear as is my emails....I can see the
format option/font when I have an email ready to send...but cannot figure out
how why I have no way to change the outlook today view..without a font/format
tool bar/button. When I go to view...again, the options available enable me
to change fonts in the calendar..email, tasks etc. but not the today page.
they seem to be set a 8 pt....and for this reason, I've attempted (without)
success to find another PIM.....does anyone know how to enlarge the fonts..if
there is no formatting option on the page...and none when I try to customize
the buttons.
OUTLOOK 2002 and winxp
thanking you guys in advance for you help

Tech support is often wrong. :)

The fonts used in much of outlook are controlled by windows themes/schemes.
But changing the font settings will change it within all of windows.
