I have 3 computers, 1 with 2000 and XP, 1 with just XP,
and 1 with 95. I connect to the internet thru the
2000/xp machine and share the connection. All computers
can use the internet just fine and can see each others'
files except the XP on the 2000/XP machine and computer 2
with the XP machine. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Ray

try looking in the advance portion of the tcp properties for the nic. look
for the use netbios over tcp/ip is chacked and also look to see if the
firewall is enabled. my xp seems to turn the firwall on by itself. (actually
nobody admits to playing with it but thats another story)

Thank you but it didn't help.
Since I have two operating systems on the one computer,
and I connect to the internet from this computer, I have
two communication cards, one for the cable modem to the
internet and one to the local area network linksys hub.
Do I need three communication cards, one for the internet,
one for the 2000 to the hub, and one for XP to the hub?
Anybody know?

No. You still use two.

Since you can only boot one OS at a time, each OS will set use its own
drivers for the NICS, and use it's own version of ICS.
