2000 server lock-up at startup

I am running a school server and when I returned after the

summer, I found that the server was frozen. Upon restart,
it booted to its initial setting screen and locked up
again. It now only gets to the initial start up screen
and freezes. Even froze when I tried to get into safe

mode. No error messages apparent, just freezes up.

Try a safe mode or logged startup. Correct any issues that you find.
