When I open a specific file I get the following error message: The form name
'dirdata' is misspelled or refers to a form that doesn't exist. If the
invalid form name is in a macro, an Action Failed idalog box will display
the macro name and the macro's arguments after you click OK. Opein the Macro
window, and enter the correct form name.
When I click OK, the Action Failed dialog box does not open and I can
continue working on the file. How do I get rid of the error message? I
deleted both the Switchboard and Swithchboard Items table, to no avail.
Appreciate some help.

When you say you "open a specific file", do you mean that you open an Access
project? Is the form "dirdata" specified as the startup form, or is it
called in any of the startup routines? Does the form "dirdata" exist? Not
sure why you'd delete the switchboard/items table, unless this has something
to do with calling that form.

Lou,

What do you mean about opening a "specific file"? What do you actually
do when you get this error? I think you need to identify the event that
is triggering this, and then examine the macro or vba procedure which is
running on this event and see if you can locate the reference to 'dirdata'.
