We have a database that was created in XP (2002). Most users are still on
that version, but the 6 users that are on 2003 are having trouble opening
reports.
They double click the report and it just sits there. No error, no report,
nothing.
What has changed in the one version that would prevent the reports from
working at all?

I have not seen this phenomenon, nor do I recall reading about it in the
newsgroups. As far as I know, Access 2002 and 2003 use identical file
formats for their databases, and both default to saving in Access 2000 file
format. The only significant "new feature" in Access 2003 was the
long-awaited addition of OpenArgs to the DoCmd.OpenReport and the OpenArgs
property of Reports. All the other changes were minor.

I regularly use the same databases with both versions without any
difficulty at all. I'd be inclined to think there was something wrong with
the installation of Access 2003, or the Operating System on those machines
(particularly if once-installed, then disk-copy-cloned).

Might be an issue with no default printer designated. I expect the users
can't even create a new report or open a report in design view.

Hi there, l had the same problem up until this morning. The printer was set
to letter and not A4. There must be a default printer set and the correct
paper surce must be selected or it will sit there and perform squat wen
trying to open a report.
