2000 and Mac

sure this has been asked a MILLION times before

have a win2000 (and other Win flavors) machine and one MAC Os X on the same
INTRANET.....

is there anyway (cheap) to get them to share files? i have these huge movie
files on the mac i need to get to the PC

is UNIX based - you could compile Samba on the OS-X machine and set up a SMB
share on it that Windows machines could talk to.

OS X.2 (Jaguar) has a very usable gui samba under the sharing system
preference. For more control there are freeware gui tools
