Hello,
I have a new Seagate Barracuda 200 GB SATA hard disk which detects
and is recognized okay on Win XP as a 200GB HDD, but putting
it on a Win 2000 server or Win200 Proshows it as 128GB. Why is that
so? have the latest patches and updates installed on Win2k too.

Can someone help?

Regards

On win2k you need at least SP3 installed to recognize beyond 137GB,
Except you claim to have the latest patches installed. Meaning SP4.
Which would rule that out.

You said you've tried 2kPro, 2kserver, and XP. Are all of these
installed on identical motherboards? Perhaps the Machine with XP is
newer. It is possible there is a motherboard limit comeing into play
here.
