Dan
I have a problem that is puzzling me. I have done this on serveral servers
(set up as a workstation and not a domain) in the past and it worked fine,
but the difference is that on this server, we are using a domain using
active directory.
I have installed a runtime version of Access 97 and both runtime and full
version of Access XP on a Windows 2000 server using the following shortcut
for opening the Access 97 program:
"Y:\<USERNAME>\Program Files\<MY ACCESS PROGRAM FOLDER>\Office\MSACCESS.EXE"
/runtime "Y:\<USERNAME>\Program Files\<MY ACCESS PROGRAM FOLDER>\<MY
PROGRAM.mde"
The problem is that anyone that is NOT an administrator cannot use the
access 97 database if the last database that was opened was the Access XP
database. They receive an error when trying to open the access 97 database.
An administrator must open the Access 97 database and then all users can use
open it.
Any ideas on how to correct this?
