Under OE our separate user mail went into one inbox as bulk delivered by the
ISP. They combined the various e mail adrresses at their point not mine.
This suits as it enables sharing of 90% of the general mail received and the
specific mail for people can be diverted into individual folders via
messaage rules.

But under vista as each person logs on and pushes the e mail button they get
what is waiting on the ISP server into their inbox. The e mail is not
sharied between users. The result is a mail mess with mail spread between
users based on who was logged in. I have tried to make all accounts share
the identical store folder but the change facility does not enable the entry
(sharing) of a folder from a different user. Example of a user folder which
can not be changed to share is
C:\Users\user1\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail.

I need the mail in one acess folder only and accessable by each user thus
making the mail system identical no matter who logs in and when.

Any help appreciated. Thanks

You may be able to achieve what you want by setting each user to leave mail
on the server? WM>tools>accounts>account properties>advanced> also set one
of the users to delete messages from the server after a number of days, to
suit your usage pattern.

If that does not give you the desired effect?

Also see the last two messages in this thread for a method to share the mail
store:

I suspect that in OE each one had message rules not to download the other's
mail. You can do the same in Vista, the problem being how you handle mail
addressed to both.
