2 users in 1 record

we keep having problems with 2 users trying to access the same record at
the same time (from their desktops)is there a way to have a warning appear
as soon as the 2nd user trys to access the record or better still have the
system lock him out with a message?

now the 2nd user doesn't know of the problem until he tries to save his
work - and that's when he finds out he can't because of the other user in
the record.

In Tools... Options, set the Default Record Locking on the Advanced
tab to "Edited Record".
