Dear Reader,

There is a task regarding PowerPoint which I do manually that I would
like to automate. I believe it will require VBA programming which I
don't know. The task is this, I assemble PowerPoint (.ppt) files by
copying slides from a Master Set into the new presentation

I have a Master Slide File (ppt) which contains ~600 slides with each
slide permanently attached to its position. I am given a list of
numbers (let's say 250 numbers long) , each number corresponds to a
slide in the Master Slide File.ppt. I then copy from Master Slide
File one slide at a time into New Slide File.

I want a program written which will accept the list as input and out
put the New Slide File.

My name is Jerry Klann
I can be reached at my office at 800-782-8505 Ext 321.

Thank you for your interest,

Jerry

Everybody wants this kind of thing, Jerry -- where they choose slides and
have a presentation created out of them on the fly. It is worth and would
cost way more than $200, I can tell you that.

Hi Jerry,

I can provide such a program - no charge.

Questions: Would you want to feed it a spreadsheet which lists all the
slides and allows you to specify a flag to say "include this slide". Would
an XML-based file be preferable? Anyone else want to chime in on
requirements so that I can build something generally useful. I am thinking
there would be two parts. One part would create a spreadsheet from a PPT
listing all the slides. And another which creates a PPT with a subset of the
slides - based upon selections in the spreadsheet.
