I have IE 6. Running XP Home Edition. SP 1.

1) My old browser (IE 5.5 ?) Had an option in add/remove programs to REPAIR
Browser. Is this function impossible now? Also I cant find a way to uninstall
it so I can reinstall a clean copy.

2) I did manage to delete the IE icon from my desktop and start menu, So now
when I want to start a new browser it doesnt do it in a new window.

Just call me butterfingers.

You can download TweakUI for XP and put the icon back on the desktop. It is
at the XP web page under PowerToys.

XP has IE 6 included and as far as I know it cannot be uninstalled via the
Control Panel > Add/Remove Software.

In most cases, repair is not required in XP.

Thanx Jerry,
I downloaded TweakUI, but that didnt work for me because it only offered
the option to REPAIR icons. My icons were gone. I finally figured it out.
Doing this:
Control Panel/Taskbar and Start Menu/StartMenu Tab/Customize/Show on Start
Menu/Check Internet/Choose IE.
