1) Is there any way to allocate more ram to a particular progam in XP

I have 1 gig of ram and am conatantly reading to disc when I use pagemaker 6.5 and the entire file I am working on is only a couplee hundred meg. This really slows down performance

2) When I have several progams open my computer will not hibernate, I assume there is an amount some where that I must adjust to increase the disc space allocated for hibernation. Is this correct? How can I fix the problem

Any help would be appreciated

Adobe PhotoShop uses it's own "virtual memory manager" which can sometimes
conflict with normal Windows settings. I suspect Adobe pagemaker might have
the same problem.

What size hard disk do you have? How much free space is left?
If there is more than one partition, please describe your system.

Sound's like you might not have enough free space left on the drive.
Any help would be appreciated

While pagemaker is running and a file open, press CTRL + ALT + Del to open the
task manager. On the Processes tab, what values do you see for pagemaker in
the "Mem Usage" and "Peak Mem Usage" columns?
(If you don't see those columns, View > Select Columns...)

you can give a particular program more resources under the processes tab in
task manager just right click on the program you want to change the priorty
for.

Hi

1. You should install pager maker on other drive but not on the C drive, preferably to be installed on other hard disk
2. make sure you have at least more than 2 Gig free space on the C drive
