2 questions about saving to camcorder+ adding audio

1. Why is the quality of the movie I saved back to my dv
camcorder much poorer then the original clip before
editing in moviemaker 2?
I used the save movie to dv option.

2. I imported a mp3 file, played it back, clipped out a
section of the file, added it to the timeline but no
audio on playback???

What am I doing wrong here, any help would be greatly
appreciated
