2 PROBLEMS

I have been using XP Home edition for a year -no
problems. I have just loaded a copy of McAfee Internet
Security and I now have two problems.

1. Commencing Windows - at the screen for choice of user -
this takes 10 minutes to reach the desktop sceen. This
problem applies whichever user is using the system.

2. The program SCANUTIL.dil is now not found when
required - causing a delay in use.

I would prefer not to reload the completet system. I have
a large storage area whuch contain s lot of digital
photos.


can someone help, please?
 
Have you checked McAfee's web site for any issues or
patches?
You could uninstall the McAfee or do a system restore.

This should encourage you to backup your data and pictures
to a CD-R or DVD-R.

Also, a good reason to have partitions for OS, and data.
