this.thanks!

2. also, i couldn't change the default website in my
internet explorer.i've tried system restore, deleting the
cookies and files, deleting history but still those don't
work..please please help me..thanks.;)

Hi there,

I can't help you on your first problem since I've never
seen anything like it.

As for the second one, stuff like that often happens
because you have adware/spyware installed on your
computer. You didn't necessarily install it yourself, but
it's probably on there. Get Ad-Aware and Spybot
Search&Destroy from:

Ad-Aware
www.lavasoftusa.com

Spybot Search&Destroy
http://www.safer-networking.org/

Download the two programs and install them. Run Ad-Aware
first and check for updates (this should always be the
first thing you do before running any scanning program).
After the updates are complete, click on Start and
select "Perform smart system-scan" and hit Next. Let the
program do it's thing. When it says it's finished, select
everything in the list that appears and click "Delete" (I
think it's "delete", could be "next"...) and confirm the
deletion.

Next run Spybot S&D. Again, check for updates and then
click on "Check for problems". Once the scan is complete,
click on "Fix selected problems".

Depending on how much adware you had on your system, you
may even see a performance increase. For best results,
run these scans as often as you would an anti-virus scan
(at least once a week).

Hope this helps,

Nick

thanks for that..i remembered i had the same problem
before but i forgot what i did to fix it.is there a
simpler way to do it?but thanks for that.i'm downloading
the freeware.

with my first problem i probably should make it clearer.
when i right click on desktop, click properties, click
display tab.. the window closes. that happens when i'm
using a wallpaper that is a .jpeg file..if i use a
background file like the one found in Windows XP theme
(the greenhill..), the display properties works..

Try this
Open C: click windows scroll down to web click the plus sign click wallpaper
and put you pics in the wallpaper folder
Hope this helps
