Hello

I have windows 2000 professional on my laptop, my father tried to upgrade windows 2000 with xp professional. It didn't work, because my windows 2000 is in english and xp was dutch. Is it bad for my laptop to have 2 operating systems
If I would buy an xp upgrade in eglish and if I would install it, would it erase the dutch version of xp? If that doesn't happen, how do i erase the dutch version of xp?

Thanks
Jacqueline

Windows XP is written in specific language versions, therefore one
cannot change it from one language version to another. You'll need
to purchase a "Full Version" of Windows XP in the language version
you desire, reformat your drive and install it "clean".

Or if you have an available empty drive or partition, you can install
another "Full Version" of Windows XP in a different language version
and create a dual-boot configuration.

A good third-party partitioning program is Partition Magic 8.

Upgrading is not supported between different language versions. IT
might be possible to make a separate installation of the Dutch version
into a different partition, but most likely nothing has happened and the
machine is still Win2000 only (with just possibly an extra entry in
boot.ini referring to the aborted setup). You need an English version
upgrade of XP Pro to upgrade that

I can advise the program boot magic from the partition magic series.... in there, you can find any information about having 2 ops. I used it myself before on many computers, they're still running...
stuur maar een mail moest je meer info wille
