2 Nero's on one PC?

Have downloaded the demo of Nero 6032. I would like to keep my current Nero
5520 until I evaluate the new one but the installation routine wants to
uninstall the old one. Is there any way round it so that I can have both?
 
I don't think so, Kenny. Normally a later upgrade updates an earlier one
and, as usual, the new version usually checks to see if an older version is
installed before installing itself - hence the applications request to
uninstall the older copy. You must also understand that, if you were able to
have both versions installed, a conflict may occur between the two. So
really it is better to uninstall the older version and reinstall the newer.
 
Thanks for the reply, was hoping to avoid an uninstall and possible
re-install if I decide to go back to the old version but it looks like it's
not possible.

I understand your desire to do this and I like to do the same thing. In the
past I have had success by renaming the directory containing the older
version (adding temp works well). In that way the new version has installed
quite happily and I can evaluate it without losing access to the older one.
I haven't tried this with Nero but have with many other programs. Just a
thought.
