It's not that hard, the first thing I you do is take a look inside your
system, and check what type of video card you have now, is it AGP(or PCI)
video card, if it is, do you like it or would prefer to remove the old
AGP(or PCI) and get a new AGP(or PCI) video card with 2 vga outputs.
If you prefer to keep the old AGP video card, you the need to buy a PCI
video card, if you have a PCI slot that is available
If you have a motherboard video card, check if you have a AGP(or PCI) slot
that is available, and buy AGP video card with 2 vga outputs, if you have
AGP slot that is available or buy a PCI video card with 2 vga output, if you
have a PCI slot that is available.
If you do keep your old card, it must be on the supported list below.
Here is a list of supported multi-display cards
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;307397
Cost can range from $25(on internet auction places) to $600(new from you
local computer store)
Once you install the video card, boot up the system, let plug and play
install drivers, reboot,
go to your display applet and check on "Extend my Windows desktop onto to
this desktop"
Thanks
