Hi!

Is there a way to get a graph that has 2 lines in it
(which read off the Y axis) and on the same graph have
columns that reads off a secondary Y axis?

And all these on one set of X axis?

The spread sheet is all set up but i can't find the
graph that i want in the wizard!

Hi David

Create a line chart, right click on the series you want to show as
column, select chart type and choose column. Right click it again
select format data series, axis, and choose secondary.

One problem I've found with this kind of graph is that the legend entr
for the bar always defaults to the left of the entries for the lines
even though the logical place for it would be on the right, near th
axis that shows its data (see attached). Has anyone found a way aroun
this

sure you can.. first create a single line graph.. all going off the
axis.. click to select the data series you want to change to a column.
then go to format data series.. Axis tab, secondary y axis... clic
ok.. with the same series still selected go to chart/chart type/ an
change to column.. this will only change the series going off th
secondary y to a column, and leaving the other two as a line going of
the primary

There isn't a lot you can do to change the order of the legend entries.
Excel lists all of the column series in front of all of the line series,
regardless of plot order, no matter whether they are on the primary or
secondary axis. Area series are listed before column and bar series, and
scatter series are listed after all others.
