I have windows XP. Recently everytime I boot my computer up, I get a message
that says "userinit.exe" (top of box), "There is no disk in the drive.
Please insert a disk inot drive \Device\Harddisk2\DR3"(body of message.

The second issue the body of message is the same but the box title says
"Explorer.EXE-No Disk"
These issues are keeping me from playing any games installed on my computer.
When I open a game, the message pops up and makes the game minimize to the
task bar.

I am also having an issue installing anything new, I get a message then
saying My Pictures path has caused an error. I dont even know what to do, I
have tried to restore to an earlier date, but that didn't work. Any help
would be appreciated I don't really want to reboot the hard drive, but if I
have to I will.

Try running a check disk on your Hard Drive(s),
Start > Run
then type in (without the quotes) "chkdsk c: /f" where c: is the letter
of the drive you would scan, press ok.
If you try to scan your main hard drive, it will tell you it can't
unmount the volume, and would you like to scan it next time windows
starts, answer with 'Y' (no quotes) then restart your computer.

As for Hard Drives/Partitions that arn't your where Windows is running
from, do the same, however for these, you won't need to restart your
computer
