2 HDDs 2 XP Installs -- want to get rid of one

Before I upgraded 98 to XP i wanted to take XP for a test drive so I
installed it on a spare blank formatted HD i had. After getting
comfortable, I upgraded my 98 HD to XP.

Now, when I boot, I get the OS Choices menu and have to select one of the
two installs or wait the 30 seconds for it to default to the first one. The
first one is the one I want it to pick so it isn't a big problem, I just
want the system to boot without waiting through that 30 seconds.

Because the test install of XP was onto a formatted HD, there's no option in
XP on that drive to uninstall XP. I tried disconnecting the drive from the
system but the OS Choices screen still came up.

How do I uninstall XP from the one disc in such a way that the system will
know it's uninstalled and the OS choices screen will not come up?

Thanks in advance

Neil,

Thanks a lot, I followed the link, read the instructions, followed the
instructions and it worked perfectly.
