Hi!

I have a "A"pc (a.com) with WinXP cannot see "b.com" domain group
computers.

I can ping to dc.

Do i need to configure the NTLMv2 ?

Generally the solution to viewing cross-domains is to run a WINS server in
each domain and have them replicate to each other.

Yeah, no need for WINS after year 2000. Windows 2000 + up will browse using
DNS.

Hi!

I have a "A"pc (a.com) with WinXP cannot see "b.com" domain group
computers.

I can ping to dc.

Do i need to configure the NTLMv2 ?

set the DNS server of domain "B" to forward to the DNS server of domain "A"
and set up a trust relationship between domain "A" and "B" for the logged in
users.

in my dns server I can see both domain, but how to forward to another from
one dns to another trusted domain dns.

tks.

bk

Right click server "A" and on the forwarders tab, enter the domain and the IP
of the DNS server for domain "B", then do the opposite for server "B".

Thanks Rich Holmes,

but forgot to stated that one domain is installed with windows 2000 server
and another installed with windows server 2003, will this combination works
with what you stated earlier.

rdgs,
BK
