Hi Ingram,
First of all could you explain how did you "reload" XP....?
Second open up your boot.ini file (C:\boot.ini) and see what entryes you
have got there.
Boot.ini is by default read only, so make sure to change that, before you
make changes.
If WinXP is installed on the first harddrive with one partition it should
look like this:
-------------------------------------------------------------------
[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP
Professional" /fastdetect
-------------------------------------------------------------------
If you have more entryes under [operating systems] then you can remove them
but BEFORE YOU DO THAT YOU HAVE TO KNOW WICH ONE IS YOUR BOOT PARTITION.
Easyest way to that is to restart your box and try booting up on second
choice in the menu under boot procedure.
If you can boot up here as well the you have two win instalation side by
side and that is not good.
If not then you can simply delete second line in the boot.ini file and you
are done.
Cheers
/Goran

A while back my computer became unstable. I reloaded XP and it works fine,
but it appear there now are two copies of XP on the drive (it gives me two
options when I restart). I'd like to get rid of that other XP, but don't
know how?
