Hiya

I am finding Access really hard to handle in reporting good graphs

Q1. In Chart Wizard, you know how you can select whether you wish to see the data item's sum/avg/count etc... it won't let me choose percent of total. I don't want to use a stacked chart, so I don't know how to do it. I've tried hard to get the data out of a query, but it just isn't working. Any ideas

I don't know how this will come out, but this is the kind of graph I am talking about producing (this is very simplified)

100% ] _______ Legend (response): - = Excellen
] / - = Poo
] _______
]________ /
] \___
50%]
] ___/ ]________/ \______
] ]_______________________ \____________

Q2. Does anyone know a good source for examples of access charts
The database I'm working on is similar to Duane Hookem's AtYourSurvey, but I'm trying to incorporate a lot of extra analysis, including using a third variable of time.

Your chart depends on the Row Source query. Are you stating you can't get
this to present the data you want to graph?

Sorry for the delayed response..
That's precisely what I'm saying - I don't have the option in chart wizard for percentages, and I can't for the life of me get the correct percentages out of queries (I seem to end up with queries on queries on queries... and the wrong result!)

My fancy artwork failed. Such a disappointment

I was hoping there might be a simple solution... obviously not, I'll keep plugging away - no need for you to try and work this one out

But what I would really like is a web site that might have an example database holding top-notch graphs. I've experienced real difficulties working with time axes etc

Thanks

Basi
