After allowing windows to run their update, my computer somehow has managed to end up with two versions of Windows XP. When you restart the computer we have two choices to pick from. The first is the older version that has no access to go online. The second is the one we use and we can go online with. Does anyone know how this might have happened and what the cure might be?

if you do a repair installation of xp with your xp cd one of the choices
should disappear.

Nope, we already tried that. Thanks for your suggestion and if you have any more we would be happy to hear them.
