2 "administrators" - can I junk one?

Another "how do i get rid of that damn startup password"
question again, but this time with a interesting twist!

Here's my situation:
I have 2 users, the "Administrator" and another, with
administrator rank. I'm the only one who uses the
machine, and want to disable the startup password.

Here's the problem:
I think I can do this by removing the secondary
administrator and just letting it boot up as the default
admin (is this what it does it the login screen time's
out?). BUT... I have all my settings, firewall program
access issues (ie: AIM won't start unless i log in with
my startup password), etc etc under the secondary user
(my name, with admin status). When I skip the password
screen, or let it time out, I have all sorts of
problems.

SO, My question:
Since the second user (my name) has full admin status, is
it safe to remove the actual "Administrator" user? If I
do this, will I be able to disable the password screen
and have it load the correct settings? If not, is it
possible to transfer all the settings for the second
administrator and junk it, and then run only as the
primiary Administrator?

I know this is a very "special" situation I've gotten
myself into, so anyone who has the knowledge and the
time... your thoughts are WELCOME!

Thanks!

Richard

You can't delete administrator. You can disable it and rename it but not delete it.

However you can auto login.

Type control userpasswords2 in Start Run and clear the box Users Must Enter A Name To Use Computer.

Just to expand on David's reply... You cannot delete the Administrator
account as it's a built-in account needed by XP in case anything disastrous
happens to your normal account. It is NOT intended for daily use :)

As David says, just use the auto login feature...
