2,000 Events logged, but can't view any

We recently added a 4th Terminal Server to our Active Directory domain. The
configuration isn't any different from the previous three except number four
was loaded with SP4. When we were attempting to troubleshoot another issue
we brought up the Event Viewer and to our surprise all three logs are blank.

The strang part is that it shows there events, as in the case with security
the number of events is over 2,000 but the lines are blank. You can even
click on what would be an event (blank line) and it highlights all the way
across the colums.

Does anyone have an idea as to what would cause this and how we should go
about fixing it? Think it was a problem with the actual event viewer on
that machine, we connected to the event logs from the domain controller and
recevied the same results. All servers are Windows 2000 servers.

Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks

I have seen this before. If you connect from remote server to event log on
the server where you are experiencing this, can you see the entries ?

I'm not sure the exact problem, but I do have it resolved. Even if I tried
to run the event logs remotely I did have the same problems. 2 Weeks prior
I had enabled a new site and placed another domain controller and subnet in
this site.

It looks like about a week later there were some errors replicating the
active directory and logons to all my servers were extermely slow. So I
backed out of the configuration of the new site and subnet and put the other
domain controller under the default site.

It seems that has fixed my problem. I'm not sure why it took 2 weeks to see
the effects of it, but now I can read the events, logons are quick, and the
phone isn't ringing off the hook asking for help.

I guess I need to do some more research on the site's and subnets.

Thanks
