Got it as you can see.Blinky said:That's configurable in Xnews, as well, Jim. Explore your
main menu, where it says Special. I think what you're
looking for is under Compose. It's there, somewhere, a few
clicks away, anyway.

I thought that there might be random phrases one could use.
Ha! I asked for that.Good deal. Having used Xnews for about five minutes in the
last 11 months, it's getting hard to remember where stuff
is.
There are an infinite number. You just have to think of
them.
OK, You initially need to load them all, just so its got the list, ThenBuzz,
Having tried just about everything to get away from Outlook Express, I dl'd
it and am experiencing problems.
How do I:
1. just get to newsgroups without loading them all.
2. reply to a post. (all I see is post)
3. get postings to leave my machine to the server as they seem to stick
around and only upload when I close the app.
TIA POKO

OK, You initially need to load them all, just so its got the list, Then
go to newsgroup/subscribe, type in a keyword for the groups you want,
and select it, then click add. (You can specify how many posts it
downloads)
Then, click on the tools icon, (A spanner & Screwdriver crossed) and go
through each tab to set all your preferences

developing it and now it is freeware. I love it, you can set all
sorts of things automatically, such as the intro you mentioned and
the sig.

His decimal point. Nyuk.

Theoretically you could say NO to the update and manually add only the
groups you want. The INS key is the manual add function.
