I think having access to these censuses is great. :thumb:

But, I can't find me grandad on it, and he had an unusual name.

So, if he didn't exist...........where does that leave me? :D

I did the exact same thing, but I noticed on the "area search" dropdown box that not all areas are included yet (including Northumberland), which was where my family is from. It says they are coming soon though, so I guess that was the case for you too :).

They've certainly expanded the coverage compared with what was available on the beta version over Christmas, but quite a bit of the north of England and all of Scotland is still missing.

Plus - not all the images are uploaded (despite what they may say). I can get a transcript of the return for my one set of great-grandparents, but can't view the image...

On the plus side, the site's not crashing the way that the 1901 census did a few years back ;-)

I had a look too ... but as Ian points out, lots of areas not available yet - namely, all the ones where my ancestors should be and Terry's too. I would have thought that knowing when the Census would become available online, they would have had it all prepared and ready...? But perhaps that's just be being a bit naive..
