I have a DV tape recorded in 16 bit. When i capture it with MM2 the picture is fine, but there is no audio
This problem can be prevented by recording onto DV tape in 12 bit sound

But i have a particular tape that is 16bit, of which has sound i would like to capture, any ideas?

Try capturing using another programme like Windv, see
here, http://windv.mourek.cz/
It's an easy to use free app and then import teh file in
to MM2.

Sarah,

I just added a post to the Digital Camcorder > Samsung page of my
website.... it's about the 12 versus 16 bit audio of Samsung camcorders, but
maybe it'll help you too.
