16-bit subsystem error message

When I try to update the video driver or install software
on the server, I get an error message about "the 16-bit
subsystem is not compatible".

We did have a server crash recently and I had to repair
the Windows 2000 Server, and Exchange 2000 Server. Maybe
I did something wrong there?

Does anyone know how to fix the error message?
